SAP Router String

You ever wondered what this field on your SAP Logon is?

saprouterstring

SAProuter is an SAP program that acts as an intermediate station (proxy) in a network connection between SAP Systems, or between SAP Systems and external networks. SAProuter controls the access to your network (application level gateway), and, as such, is an enhancement to an existing firewall system (port filter).

The string should look similar to this:  /H/sapgatea.wdf.sap.corp/S/3299/H/ (/H/host/S/service/W/pass)
